Histories Twisted Mysteries In Your Town

When I was growing up in a small west Tennessee town, there was a nearby community called Big Sandy.  Big Sandy had a railroad that snaked it's way around the outskirts of the tiny town and a ghost story that went along with it.  Supposedly if you parked your car near the track at night in a certain spot you just might witness the ghost of a railroad worker who would walk the track carrying a lantern.

There was no Facebook then, no smart phones, no cable TV, just simple pleasures like hanging out on a lonely railroad with your friends, fantasizing about what the ghost would look like.  As you might expect, it was a popular date spot (cheap date I should add).

you have an urban legend or a local mystery in your area?  If so, I'd love for you to share it here please.

Oh and by the way, I made many visits but I never saw the ghost.

Stay groovy,
Tony
